I love you more than I love the rain,

The rain brings me comfort,

And you... more than that, 

I love you more than I love creme caramel, 

Creme caramel is sweetness overloaded,

And you... more than that, 

You are a symphony of my favorite things,

Your gestures,

The way you look at me and  hold my hand,

Yes,the way you hold my hand...

Is the one I love the most,

On a busy street,

At the back of the bus,

While just sitting in the park,

The way your fingers entwined with mine,

It is peace,

It is happiness,

It is a lot of things I hold dear,

A symphony of my favorite things you are,

My love.

What good is there in a goodbye?

What beauty is there in seeing you cry?

Two hundred eighty, probably not,

  Only  two hundred fifty, perhaps,

Hoping that it won't be,

Three hundred sixty five days

of waiting.

But then,

I will be waiting, love.

a little smile

can be really, really sad

did you see the eyes twinkle?

no...

did you see a little dimple?

no...

did you see the face light up?

no...

that's why,

The Tears of Yesterday

I long for the distant rumble of thunder 

to drown the sound of my cry,

I long for the soft pelt of rain 

to hide my tear stricken eyes,

I long for the cold wind 

to breathe life to  my feverish soul,

Lastly, I long for tomorrow's hope  

to erase the pain of yesterday’s fall.

The Hellion

The hellion,

They call him that.

Always drunk,

Always wasted,

They could never  understand 
why he is like that.

Smelled of sunshine then,

Smelling of booze now,

How did it come to that?

Mama, I want a hug,

Please,

Honey, I’m too far away for that.

I’ll send you toys,

I’ll send you clothes,

Mama’s working to give you 
things like that.

Mama, all I want is a hug,

Please,

Honey, do you know 
how impossible is that?

Gamble

Life is a gamble,
You win some,
You lose some.
If we are too cautious 
to make any mistakes,
Then our life is not well lived.

Like love letters 
on sweet-scented stationery,

You're inked on my mind

Like summer giving way to autumn

You're hard to let go

No doubt...

I'll be counting again

The days and nights 
of being here without you.

Judas

Oh, the stupidities of men
What they boast now
Will topple them later

Insufferable oafs!
An angel in front of you
A devil behind you

The law of karma will one day hit them.

The world was cloaked in darkness

I cannot fathom the deep swell of loneliness

Left me in pain

Drowning in a mire of misery

From this storm.

Broken Dreams

The future once bright,

Now,

Looks bleak.

Dreams once within reach,

Now,

Have become elusive.

Hope,

Flew to those who need it most.
